Come Worship with Us!

10:30 AM
Our worship service is held every Sunday morning in the sanctuary, a wonderful worship space which contains both modern and time-honored elements. We occasionally worship in our courtyard as well. The service uses a printed bulletin to help you follow the liturgy, and we offer a blended worship style that’s appropriate for all ages. We sing both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs accompanied by organ, piano, and guitar.

The service includes a “Time with Children” component where children are invited forward for a short lesson related to the scripture and a prayer. Some children may choose to begin the service in the sanctuary and then move to the chapel after the “Time with Children” for age appropriate activities and worship time.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and embrace diversity in its many forms. Our door is open to Christians of all denominations, people of faith from throughout the world, people who profess no faith, and those who are searching for religious and spiritual meaning. We would love to welcome you!

Conversation (Sunday School)

9:30 AM

Our Sunday school classes meet weekly to discuss topics of scripture. Currently, we host two adult classes; one focuses on passages from the Bible and the other focuses on theology and current events.

Connection (Fellowship)

10:00 AM

This is an opportunity for fellowship just outside the sanctuary with breakfast pastries, juice, and time to greet one another before Church.

Music in Worship

Choir

The MVPC choir rehearses 7:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesdays, September through May. The choir sings weekly at the 10:30 am service. The unique position of the choir, slightly elevated and in the center of the congregation, supports congregational singing and downplays the impression that the choir is there to perform for the congregation. All are welcome to sing in our choir!

Soloists and Instrumentalists

If you would like to lead in singing or playing an instrument during a worship service, we would love to hear about it! We incorporate any and all musical gifts into our worship services.

Non-Musical Support of Our Music Ministry

If your gifts are of the technical and instructional nature, we need you too! Volunteers provide audio/visual support for the worship service, including projection, lighting, live sound, and web streaming.

If you would like to be a part of our music ministry in any way, please contact Rev. Barrett Abernethy (barrett@mvpchurch.org).
