Here at Mount Vernon, children participate in every aspect of our church community. Through Christian education, service projects, outreach opportunities, and fellowship, children learn to love God and love others as God loves them. By working together with their family, we strive to encourage children to:
- Grow in faith
- Know they are loved as children of God and important to this congregation
- Identify their own gifts as we grow in relationship with each other and with God.
The MVPC Youth program is designed to give all 6th-12th grade students a chance to explore, deepen, and express their faith. Friends are always welcome as we figure out together what it means to follow God in today’s world through Sunday morning age-appropriate Bible study. Confirmation Class is offered for those who wish to know more about membership in the Presbyterian Church and what exactly that means.
Conversation Classes 9:30-10:15 am
The Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church Stephen Ministry was commissioned for service on Sunday, July 7, 2019. The ministry adds an additional layer of support for those undergoing stressful times. We offer care and support in Spanish, as well. Women are assigned to women and men to men in a confidential one-on-one relationship. Referrals go through the pastor. Please utilize this team of trained laypeople who will journey the hard times with you.
